Wally Seck To Appear Before A Judge on September 18

Lamarana Diallo’s Range Rover case was brought before the first chamber of the Dakar Court of Appeal on Monday but has been rescheduled for September 18th due to the need for defendants to receive their summons, reports Les Échos.

Singer Wally Seck, former International Football Player Ibou Touré, Pape Massaly Niang, Serigne Mbacké Guèye, Sanou Kébé, and Abdou Dieng are among the six defendants in Lamarana Diallo’s Range Rover case.

The six defendants are facing charges of criminal association, fraud, forgery, and use of forgery in an administrative document, as well as complicity in these charges.

After being brought before the criminal court on April 21, 2022, all six defendants were released from charges after the judge canceled the procedure due to the lack of respect for the defendants’ right to be assisted by a lawyer from the beginning of their arrest. However, the civil party, Lamarana Diallo, appealed against the decision.

The Range Rover case dates back to 2016 when Wally Seck received Lamarana Diallo’s car from footballer Ibou Touré. Seck then sold the car to Pape Massaly Niang, who later sold it to Guilé Sèye for 26 million CFA francs. When Sèye discovered that the vehicle was the subject of a dispute, he filed a complaint against everyone involved in the various transactions. The Range Rover eventually returned to its owner, Lamarana Diallo, but legal proceedings were initiated to investigate the disputed transactions, as reported by Les Échos.
