President Barrow Inspects Ongoing Road Construction Sites

President Adama Barrow took part in a thorough inspection of various ongoing road construction sites on Saturday, April 27th, 2024.

The inspection covered the 50 Kilometer Road project, which includes the Wullingkama/Brusubi Junction Phase 2, the Sheriff Kunda Junction at Brufut, and Old Jeshwang around the Cemetery Junction, among others.

Additionally, he visited the Bertil Harding Highway, which is currently under construction from the Traffic light-Kairaba Avenue to Senegambia Junction.

Expressing his satisfaction with the progress of the work, President Barrow emphasized the importance of these social projects. He stated that roads hold great significance for the government and described them as a legacy for him. The President acknowledged the long and eventful day, noting that the inspection was an opportunity to assess progress in preparation for the upcoming OIC conference on May 5th.

He highlighted the success in raising funds through the organization of the OIC summit and expressed his commitment to continuing the projects even after the summit.

President Barrow further emphasized the transformative impact these strategic roads will have on the overall road network and traffic. He recognized their significance as social projects that will greatly improve the lives of the people.

Reflecting on his visit to Brufut, the President recalled his initial concern and the fulfillment of the promise made regarding the road construction. He stressed that the Wullingkama road, extending to Ghana Town, holds strategic importance.

The completion of these projects will not only fulfill promises but also bring about substantial changes in the road network, positively impacting traffic flow and the lives of the people.
