Pipeline Mosque Foundation Donates 700 Bed Sheets To Public Health Sector

Following thirteen years benevolence to the health sector, the Pipeline Mosque Foundation on Thursday donated 700 bed sheets, each valued at D800totaling at D560, 000 for further distributions to all government hospitals around the country.

The gesture includes donation of a cheque of D50, 000 for the upkeep of the Serrekunda General Hospital Mortuary. This generous donations were from Mr Ahmad Ghanim Diab, the proprietor of Emporium.

Speaking at the occasion held at the Kanifing General Hospital, the benefactor, Mr Diab stated that he tries all possible ways to keep it secret, noting that is the reason he does not like to appear at places he offers help. He pointed out that Muslims are all brothers and sisters and they should help and stand by each other. 

He assured that he has instructed his children to continue his benevolence as a legacy even when he is no more.

The Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, Mr Basiru Drammeh thanked the donors while giving assurance that the items to reach all beneficiaries with proper usage.

He mentioned that as he came to the hospital last year, it coincided with the Foundation executing its annual donation to the hospital, adding that he came to realized that it’s not only the Kaifing General hospital benefiting from the donation but all government hospital in the Gambia.

Pipeline Mosque Foundation’s 2nd Vice President, Alh Badou Faye revealed that MrDiab has been doing this gesture for the Pipeline Mosque Foundation for the past thirteen years.

The chairman of the foundation welfare committee said the Mosque is a community Mosque that Muslims are brothers and sisters and should stand to help each other in all ways they could.

Babucarr Saine, the Serekunda General Hospital administrator revealed that the Pipeline Foundation has been a reliable partner to the hospital since its inception. He assured that all beneficiary hospital would receive a fair share of the donation.

The event was represented by other beneficiary public hospitals such as the Tanka Tanka, EFSTH, Bundung Maternal and Child Hospital, Ndemban clinic among others.
