King Of Fatick Region Takes On Peace Mission Visitto Senegalese Embassy In Gambia

The King of Madala Sinic in the Region of Fatick in Senegal, King Niokho   baye Fat Diene Diouf recently embarked on a peace mission visitto the Senegalese Embassy in The Gambia.

The visit was on a peace mission by the Serrer King and his colleague Jola King of Cassamance, southern part of Senegal.

Speaking at a closed door meeting held at the Senegalese Embassy at Pipeline along the Kairaba Avenue, the Senegalese Ambassador in the Gambia His Excellency, Bassirou Sene described the significance of the King’s visit to the Embassy. He said that King Niokhobaye Fat Diene Diouf is one of the pillars of Senegal.

In giving high regard to the King’s visit, he mentioned to the King that “when we were informed of your visit, we took the bold decision to prepare in receiving you and your delegates at the Embassy with open arms and dignity.”

“I am so much overwhelmed being a Serrer and to have an institution such as you in our midst,” he told the King, adding that his visit is first of its kind for such a great leader to visit him at the Embassy.

He noted that the king’s interventions in Senegal and visit does not only limit or represent the Serrer ethnic people but to the entire people of Senegal and on behalf of President MackySall.

Ambassador Sene thanked President Adama Barrow for his hospitality towards foreigners, particulars the Senegalese community in the Gambia.

He noted that Senegalese citizens are given freedom in the Gambia which allows them to confidently operate in their various daily businesses. He added that Senegal and Gambia are of the same families and have a lot in common.

For his Part, King Niokhobaye Fat DieneDiouf applauded Ambassador Sene for boldly receiving him and his delegates likewise for his strongly representing the Senegalese government and its citizens in the Gambia.

He noted that he strives to boldly stand to represent his people and to ensure a peaceful coexistence amongst his people.
