Gambian Born British, 44,-Victor Sambou Jailed For 9yrs For Rape Offences In The UK
A 44-year-old rapist from Maidenhead was jailed for nine years on the (11/10) after attacking sleeping victim.
Following a six-day trial Victor Sambou, 44, was found guilty on July 4th for climbing in his victim’s window and raping her.
The incident occurred on November 10 2019 after a woman in her twenties returned home from a night out.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Beever, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “I am pleased that after a lengthy investigation, Sambou has been brought to justice after committing such a sickening and serious attack.
Sambou met the woman and her friends during a night out after which he gave them a lift back to the victim’s home.
After everyone had left and the victim was asleep, he returned to the address through the victim’s window and proceeded to rape the woman.
Sambou was arrested the next day and charged on June 23, 2021.
Detective Beever added: “I’d like to thank the victim for her support throughout this investigation and her bravery in coming forward.
