Eyewitnesses recounts how shooting incident unfolded
As the Police continues to search for a gunman accused of opening fire at three PIU offices at Sukuta Traffic light last night , several eyewitnesses were still trying to process what happened.
Upon visiting the crime scene this morning, eyewitness Ebrima Manneh a taxi driver spoke to VOD and recalled the moment he saw the incident unfolded before his eye and said
“I was sitting on top of my car, when I saw a man crossing towards the police officers and not long I then heard a gunshot, that’s how I saw one of the officers felt down. As other officers were trying to help the PIU on the floor, that’s how I saw the gunman shot at the other officer.”he explained

He further explained that a taxi driver, Harouna Jarju took the officers to the hospital and said that the incident is the first of its kind he has ever seen in his entire life.
Harouna Jarju, the taxi driver who took the gun down victims said that after the gunman opened fire at the officers he and his friends who were sitting opposite the crime scene then took the victims to the hospital and came back.
He further claimed to see the assailants running away but said he cannot really identify the guy.
Penda Suwareh a vendor at Sukuta traffic light, expressed fear about the incident and said that the country is becoming unsafe for them as armed robbers are now many in the country which is making them scared to leave their children at home.
