flood damages Youna Bridge

The National People’s Party, (NPP) Jabang Ward Chairman for Old
Yundum Constituency, Mr Saidou Jallow has called for urgent support
for the immediate reconstruction of Youna Village Bridge which serves
as the entrance at the border between Youna and LabaKoreh Village,
Kombo North District, West Coast Region.
The destruction occurred as a result of continues rainfall which
eventually engulfed the Bridge with total destructions due to the heavy
flood which has currently stopped vehicles and motor cycles from
entering the village.

Reaching out to Voice Out Digital, Chairman Jallow confirmed with
sorrow as the torrent has caused so much destructions to the bridge
which resulted to vehicles no longer able to enter their community
through the bridge.
He further pointed out with so much concern and fear for the sick
people, that patients with emergency cases, especially pregnant
women on labor would be at a worst conditions if they are to be
transported to hospitals through the bridge as it is a no go area for
vehicles or motor cycles.
However, Chairman Jallow took this opportunity on behalf of the village
to seek urgent support from the government, NGO’s and
philanthropists to come to their aid for the rehabilitation of the
damaged Bridge.
For support, you can reach Mr Saidou Jallow through (00220) 5834377
