Barrow promises nationwide electrification before end of 2025
His Excellency, President Adama Barrow has announced that his government is set to provide electricity supply to all villages remained dark in the Gambia before end of 2025.
However, as part of his government electrification project for the Kombo Districts, he revealed to shortly provide an additional electricity supply to 20 communities in the Kombo East with 13 additional communities in Kombo South, 6 communities in Kombo Central and 5 communities in Kombo North District in the West Coast Region.
President Barrow continuous his developmental declarations with the electrification project on Thursday as the 2022 meet with the people tourreached at Brikama community at a joint meeting by Kombo East, Brikama North and South Constituencies.
The tour which is under the theme “together we can accelerate socio-economic growth and maintain peace and stability,” was aimed to dialogue with the people across all regions to give the government direct information of some of the challenges encountered by the communities for possible intervention.
However, he further gave strong assurance that his electrification projects are immediate, as he sets to double projects implementation compare to his past five years presidential term.
President Barrow further urged the people ofKombo to come together with the same developmental visions to collectively work together for the interest of the nation.
