Alleged Coup Plotters’ Trial Adjourned Due to state lawyers wish to not expose PW5
Alleged Coup Plotters arrived in Court, Justice B.V.P Mahoney, the judge presiding over the alleged coup plotters trial, has adjourned the case to Tuesday 14th March @1pm for continuation of hearing due to the state lawyer (A. M Yusuf) wish not to expose his witness.
“My Lord we have a witness but the witness can’t testify In court because he is an undercover agent, he has been an undercover over a decade because he is a security personnel, exposing him now will bring danger to the public and his safety will be at risk, So we would like it to be on camera, My Lord.” A.M Yusuf told the judge.
In the defence of his statement the lawyer of the accused(L. S Camara ) told the court that the state lawyers reason is not genuine.
“ I have gone through the list of witnesses but I have not seen witness number 6, who is suppose to testify, we should have been notified.” He told the court.
Justice Mahoney requested The State to make formal application on or before Wednesday 15th March and the defence shall file their representative replies if any on or before Friday 17th March.
The State shall file reply on points of Law on or before Tuesday 21st March.
Case adjourned to Tuesday 14th March @1pm for continuation of hearing
