Adlam Gambia Association Observes 8th International Conference

Members of the ADLaM Association, the Gambia and ENDAM Fulbe Africa, over the weekend observed their 8th international conference, held at the Ndow’s Hall in kanifing.

The event converged various participants among international delegates, which commenced with students’ match pass led by the police ban.

The Gambia Writers Association is an independent body of writers of Gambian descents whose commitment to the promotion of the Pularr language is unprecedented which was demonstrated by the publication of the book, Mandinka, Wolof and Pularr proverbs.

ENDAM Fulbe Africa is an international organization that brings together many associations supporting the welfare of the Fulbe and the promotion of their language and culture.

The conference gave an opportunity of ADLaM representatives from African countries and around the globe to discuss on ADLaM and its contribution to education and information dissemination in their communities which also served as a platform to sharing and learning likewise presentation of the progress registered in the development of the association.

In his welcoming remarks, Mahamad Bah, head of Adlam Gambia Association, applauded all delegates for partaking in the forum and commended the initiators of the association eight years ago.

He urged all to be as one family, while he encouraged the teaching of the language to young ones for them to able to read and write the Pularr language effectively. However, other delegates included members from Google, Microsoft and jamrapatel.
